Selwyn Equestrian Centre
Selwyn Equestrian Centre is a purpose-built, top-of-the-line equestrian facility, featuring a 70x28m indoor arena with a wet silica sand base and a viewing gallery, a 30x70m outdoor dressage arena, and a 60x70m rubber outdoor show jumping arena complete with quality jumps. We also have a round pen.
We have conference room, toilet and shower block, a kitchen/café area, nine stables and 15 yards available for all show and clinic events and for overnight or weekend events, SEC also boasts an 18 bed bunk room along with all the facilities. *Facilities can also be hired out for non-equestrian events.
Selwyn Western Shop is also located at SEC and it's your go-to destination for premium western supplies. We offer a wide range of high-quality products including horse gear, roping equipment, men's and women's apparel, kids' clothing, spurs, and more. You can shop online or at SEC.
Chanelle is available for Barrel Racing, Beginner Roping and help with your Standbred Lessons.

Chanelle has owned Selwyn Equestrian Centre since November 2019, with the vision to not only maximise Selwyn Equestrian to its full potential but also embrace its use in all equestrian disciplines.
A little bit about Chanelle - she has a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology and Psychology and she has also participated and competed in both English and Western equine disciplines in New Zealand, America and Canada.
Chanelle brings a range of experience and skills to the Selwyn Equestrian Centre. In 2016, she won a Horse of the Year Title. In 2020, qualifyed for the National Rodeo Finals in her first open season. Her passion for development and progression has helped her achieve and gain respect with the equine industry. This passion she now wishes to share at the Selwyn Equestrian Centre.
Chanelle's other passion is within the horse racing industry. Chanelle has been involved and worked at Bromac Lodge, a large Standardbred breeding operation in Canterbury, and from there learnt most of her skills in running a large equestrian operation.
Chanelle looks forward to working with you and your horses and providing you with a safe, friendly and supportive facility and environment.
